Customer Question

My dog is a rough collie and his left eye is swollen and red. He is on medication for canine conjunctivitis. The eye is not as red but is still swollen. He has been on the medication 12 days and I am concerned.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about your collie?
Customer: It seemed like the swelling was going down then he went for a walk in the park today and it is more swollen than it was before we went to the park. He will be 7 years old in March. It does not seem to bother him. He does not scratch at it. I am concerned because I thought he would be better by now. Is it normal for the condition to last this long?
JA: Have you looked to see if there is a wound on their foot?
Customer: On his foot?

Can you tell me if this situation is normal? Should it take this long to get better?
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I think his situation got worse as a result of the medication.
Will a warm compress help?
