I have a 3 year old Daschunt, she had her anal glands

Customer Question

Hello I have a 3 year old Daschunt bitch, she had her anal glands removed weeks ago, but one side refuses to heal, it has a small area at the top of the incision that keeps 'bursting open' then healing nicely, then bursting open again, the vet is giving her antibiotics, steroids constantly, but to no avail, it still is continuing to happen? I don't know what to do?
JA: Is the dog in any pain? Is it behaving differently?
Customer: only when the wound 'pops open' slight discomfort, but then it heals and shes ok again
JA: Is the dog bleeding a lot?
Customer: no, just a very small amount
JA: Have there been any changes in the dog's appearance or diet?
Customer: I have been giving her coconut oil mashed with banana and natural yogurt for breakfast, cooked minced turkey and brown rice with an omega 3 for dinner
JA: Is there anything else you think the vet should know?
Customer: no, apart from her season is well over due because of this

Do you have photos of the area to share, ideally clear and close up?

What antibiotics have been used? Is there any fluid present when it pops open?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
