Customer Question

My dog is pregnant I woke up this am to her limping on her right front leg. She has about 2 weeks before the babies are due.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Have you looked to see if there is a wound on their foot?
Customer: I can see nothing. She seems to flinch when i rub her knee
JA: What is the dog's name?
Customer: Reble
JA: Is there anything else the veterinarian should be aware of about Reble?
Customer: she is still in bed. Not wanting to get up today

Hi this is Dr. Hill. First, I would check the foot and then up the leg for any signs of a wound, swelling or pain. I know you said she flinches at the knee, but check everything. What part of the country are you in? This is important because of tick borne diseases. Can you check her rectal temperature with a digital thermometer? A normal temp would be 99-102.9.
