Customer Question

Hi. Well, my nine month old Border Collie/ Shelty mix has the hiccups from time to time, but also some dry heaving. Finally today she actually threw something up. It was yellowish and there was a small piece of fabric from a chew toy in it. I guess I should mention that last week, she threw up and it was black, but it turned out the black was pieces of black leather from a sandal she had tried to eat.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the Border collie eat anything unusual?
Customer: Oh, I also found the top 1/3 of a AAA battery in her vomit.
JA: What is the Border collie's name?
Customer: Chloe
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Chloe?
Customer: She has some scabs on her skin. Small ones, mainly on her neck.

She does not have diarrhea. No sign that she is in pain.

Have you been aware of these items being consumed before they were present in the vomit?

Are any kenneling or sequestering methods being used for her at this time?
