My 14 yr old Westie wakes up out of a deep sleep screaming. He isnon vetoryl for cushings. Took to vet tuesday and he said anal glands full..they were expressed. All good till thursday nite. Dental health good and everything else is normal.

I'm sorry to hear of this with Winston. The behavior you've described is consistent with a patient waking from or in a partial seizure (previously called petit mal) also called psychomotor seizure. This would be due to an expanding pituitary tumor in a pituitary dependent Cushing's patient. I can't rule out painful episodes but seizure is more likely if the event stops within minutes. Please let me know if that's so.
