Hello. I am sorry to hear your dog has you worried. My name is ***** ***** I would be happy to help.

Can you tell me how long this has been going on and when did he vomit last?

How old is he?

Does he ever eat things he should not such as toys, clothing, sticks etc?

Had there been any changes to his diet before this started, this could include a new dog food, treat or human foods?

Thank you for the additional information.

There are many things that can cause vomiting and diarrhea the most common being

*Intestinal parasites. Not just worms but also microscopic protozoa such as coccidia and giardia
* Dietary indiscretion - Eating something they should not
* Diet changes
* Colitis
* Bacterial infection.

Some things you can do to help are
* Continue with the bland diet of chicken and rice for 3 days
* Add additional fiber such as canned pumpkin 1 Tablespoon twice daily
* Imodium can help with diarrhea. This link will give you a chart for proper dosing. LINK

As long as he is acting normal then hopefully a few days of a bland diet will get him back on track. If the diarrhea continues for more then 4 days or he has any additional vomiting or stops eating then I would have him seen by your vet.
