Neither a food allergy nor food intolerance is expected to cause lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) - at least visible lymphadneopathy. Food allergy is an immediate reaction; not enough time passes for lymph nodes to swell. Food intolerance is a delayed response characterized by production of antibodies in mucosal secretions from the bowel. Lymph nodes associated with the gastrointestinal tract may enlarge but we don't expect to see that with peripheral (visible) lymph nodes.
