Hi there. My name is ***** ***** I'm happy to help you with your question.

How much cod liver oil did you give?

How is he acting?

How long had he been constipated?

Perfect. Thanks for the additional information. I really appreciate it.

The good news is that cod liver oil isn't toxic in the least to dogs, so there's no problem with you giving it to him to help with the constipation.

I think that teaspoon is a good amount and I wouldln't give any more now just because we don't want to give him diarrhea from all the oil.

If he's still constipated tomorrow, you could try giving him some plain canned pumpkin. The fiber in it will help pus the stool out without having to worry about oily diarrhea in your house.

I hope this helps.
