Customer Question

Hello, I rescued this dog last year. In the last few weeks he's become very lethargic, loss of appetite, regurgitating within minutes if he does eat. Cries depending how you pick him up, specially any pressure on the stomach. And last night while at work had 2 seizures, urinating himself in the process.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner. If you would still like assistance, can you tell me:

Were these the first 2 seizures he has ever had?

Any access to toxins (ie plants, chemicals, human medications, etc)?

Can he keep water down normally?

Was he regurgitating passive or was he retching/gagging as he brought the food back up?

Are his gums nice and pink (not white/pale)? Moist or sticky?

Since he is crtying when lifted, if you press on his belly, does he have any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

Could he have eaten anything else he should not have (ie bones, stones, socks, toys, , etc)?
