Get Your Dog Care Questions Answered by Experts
Hi, this is Dr. Gabby. If you look in his ears do you see any redness? Any drainage? Any abnormal odor?
How much does he weigh?
Ok thank you. I would get some rubbing alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, from the drug store. Put a few drops in each ear. 2-3 drops. Then massage it in. That should dry up any excess water stuck in there.
You can also give benadryl. 1 mg of benadryl, per each pound of dog, every 122 hours as needed.
If he is not better by morning I would take him into the vet as most regular vets are open on Saturday mornings.
Because he may have a middle ear infection which is painful and you can not see without looking down the ear cannal with an otoscope.
How does that sound?
