Customer Question

My boxer is grinding his teeth and has been vomiting every morning for 4 days. He dropped his meal count from twice a day to bearly once. Took to the vet they prescibed Cefpodoxine every 12 hours, plus Metronidazole 1 time daily Chlorhexiderm for cleaning a small bite on the side of his face due to a confrontation with a pitbull

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today. Did his vet check his mouth? Did they rule out any dental disease, growths, ulcers, sores, or changes in the mouth? You noted that he is vomiting, what is he bringing up?Is he eating? Can he at least keep water down? Are his gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky? If you press on his belly, does he have any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing? Could he have eaten something he should not have (ie bones, toys, rocks, plants, chemicals, etc)?Has he had any diarrhea? What color are his stools?
