My mom has advanced dementia and is obsessed with her 10 year

Customer Question

my mom has advanced dementia and is obsessed with her 10 year old rat terrier who is obsessed with her. He has begun to growl, snarl and snap at me when I approach him to get him off her bed and go outside (he pees in the house otherwise). This morning, when I went to pick him up as I have many, many times to take him out (after he left her bed), he viciously attacked me. Not a snap, but snarling, biting and leaping at me. He bit me in the forearm twice and the thigh once. Not serious, but enough to scare the hell out of me. She is insanely attached to him. What do I do?
