Urgent my dog has an ear infection. My vet is in wensday but to reduce fever what amount of asprin should i use?? She is 22 pounds. Jd
Hello! My name is XXXXX XXXXX it will be my pleasure to help you with your dog today.

The only safe over the counter medication for dogs is plain old aspirin.

We never use products that contain Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen or Naproxen Sodium as they can be toxic even in very small amounts.

For a dog the size of Sock, she could have 1/2 of a regular baby aspirin. She could have 1/2 every 12 hours or so. Try to give it with a little big of food so you can avoid giving her an upset stomach.

I hope this helps.

What milligrams of asprin for 22u pound dog????
Well, if the miligrams of Aspirin in a baby aspirin are 80...then the amount for 1/2 of a baby aspirin would be 40mg.
