Is there any discharge from the nose or eyes


Any history of allergies


How long as this been going on


Any sneezing


How much Benadryl did you give and did it seem to help

Considering it has been going on for so long I would suggest having him seen by a vet it is possible there is something stuck in the nasal cavity .It is not uncommon to find blades of grass, small seed or fox tails lodged in the nose.


In an older pet this could also be due to a problem with the teeth or growth in the nasal or sinus cavity.


Until you can have him seen use the benadryl if it seems to help This is normally dosed at 1-2 mgs per pound of body weight every 8-10 hours as needed

You can also use saline nose drops we recommend little noses made for infants, you can use this 2-3 times per day.
