my pug keeps scratching on the right side of his face and ear.

my pug keeps scratching on the right side of his face and ear. he is scratching it raw, is there anything i can do to stop that?

I am sorry to hear your baby is having trouble.


This could be due to ear infection, skin infection,allergy, skin mites


Some owners find using Benadryl is helpful. Here is a link to the recommended dosage



You can also try a 1%hydrocortison cream on the areas he is scratching avoiding the eye area.


If neither of these helps I would recommend having him seen by your vet. Continuing to scratch the skin raw could result in a secondary skin infection. Scratching the ear could lead to problems such as an ear hematoma which often requires surgical repair.
