Can you fix a broken tail on a puppy?

Typically, you just wait and see if it heals on its own. Most of the time, they will heal on their own and may just have a "kink" that is noticeable for the rest of their life. But if you wait over a month and the pup still seems really painful, then you may have to consider having the tail amputated above where it is broken. If the dog is painful, in the meantime, you should see your vet to get him on some pain medications.
