my dog fell on his head and side and cried for a little while. I've touched him all around and he seems no to be in pain. now he's laying down and sleeping is he going to be ok? But I don't know if I should take him to the vet or if I should just let him sleep. Please help.

He can sleep for now but you should evaluate him further when he wakes up. Here is your check list:

Does he walk on all 4 legs.
Does he walk normally, not constantly circling.
Is he able to eat normally.
Are the pupils of the eyes equal in size.
Is his head level rather than being tilted to one side constantly.

If all answers are yes, he doesn't need to see your vet but any no answer needs further investigation.
