I am not sure if all of your question has come through, but yes walking with a hunched back is a sign of pain in dogs. It is one that people often miss. It can indicate pain along the spine, neck and hips, but also pain within the abdomen. If he is sensitive to the touch, lethargic or showing any GI signs, I would recommend that you bring him in for a consultation with your vet.

Please let me know if I can be of further help.
