HelloCustomer

Yes, if the worms look like spaghetti, they are probably roundworms and this is pretty normal in a pregnant dog. The worms can encyst in muscle tissue so that they are not affected by worming medication. They are triggered to release into the digestive tract by the hormones of late pregnancy. This is because the worms can be passed to the puppies in the uterus or in the milk after birth. This is why most puppies and kittens are born with worms. You have to be careful with the wormers that you use when they are pregnant. The preferred wormer in pregnant dogs and young puppies is pyrantel pamoate. In the correct dosage this is quite safe. Make sure there are no other ingredients. It is recommended to worm mom every 2 weeks from late pregnancy and the puppies from 2 weeks for age every 2 weeks.

If you need more information just reply to your question.

Donna P.

___________If this was helpful, please click ACCEPT______________

thank you.
