This is a tough question to answer because there are different "remedies" or treatments for different kinds of poisoning. Are you sure this is poisoning situation and not some other kind of illness?

Dr L

How long ago did the diarhea start and how often? how long ago did the vomiting start and how often?

The diarha started 3 nights ago. He's been active till today. Today he been seditary. This evening he vomitted. While lying down sleeping he was shaking. I've seen him have twitches. It's not like that. He did have a ham bone Tuesday and we changed his dog food brand also Purina Dog Chow.

Ok,

Since this has been going on for a few days, and he is now twitching, I would try to get him to the vet at least first thing tomorrow. I dont' think this is a "Poisioning" situation (although may be food poisioning). But it may be something infectious as well (e.g. giardia or coccidia, etc). It is impossible to say without the proper diagnostics (e.g. fecal sample and possibly blood work and/or x-rays). unfortunately I can not give a simple home remedie withought knowing what is going on and can not know what is going on without appropriate diagnostics. If this was a simple diarrhea case I would recommend something like Pepto Bismol®, but the fact that he is now vomiting as well, indicates that he should see a vet as it may be something more serious.

Hope this helps,

Dr L
