How to stop Shih-Tzu from peeing on carpet, furniture, and on the floor in the kitchen

If not already neutered, have it done. Keep him either in a small enough crate that he will have to lay in his urine, if he voids and/or keep him under constant supervision. That means on a leash that is attached to you. Never expect him to hold his urine any longer than a couple of hours initially. The interval can be extended as his ability to control his urination increases.
