8 yr old male beagle, frequent urination, small amount, licking area more than normal, dripping when moving around house in small drops, when sleeping area seems to get wet, smal to moderate amount, just started recently, no crying no signs of discomfort, urinary track infection ?

This sounds like your boy may have the beginning of a Urinary tract infection. The best thing you can do is to make usre he is drinking enough water and get a Urine Specimen that is not more than an hour old and drop it off with the Vet. They can run the specimen and do a culture and at that point the vet can let you know exactly what is happening and then treat your boy proactively. Without a fresh Urine specimen, it will be impossible to know what the exact cause of the problem. Even if it is not visable there may be occult blood in the urine that will only be seen via Urine analysis. Joan
