Customer Question

I dropped my eight week old puppy today. She cried for a few seconds but now is running around, eating and acting normal. Is there anything I should look for or worry about?

Hi Holly,

You would want to look for swelling of the limbs, limping and reluctance to jump up. You also want to look for signs of a concussion if she landed on her head. Signs of a concussion are vomiting, lethargy, mental dullness, difficulty walking or breathing, seizures and dialated pupils. A dog with a concussion should be seen by a vet immediately. If you see bleeding from the eyes, ears or nose, she should also be seen by your Vet. She'll probably be fine. Pups are resilient. Hope this helps.
