Dogs usually have a damp nose and may drip some fluid as they have special glands along the nose area to help keep the nose damp. The dampness helps the dog smell things more effectively.
If the dog's nose is just suddenly dripping a lot it may be he is going to start an upper respiratory infection such as kennel cough or perhaps even canine influenza. I'd suggest if your dog acts like it feels ill that you consider seeing your vet and if the discharge changes to colored from clear definitely see your vet.
You can read here about kennel cough
or canine influenza
If you suspect either of those are the problem then you can see if some Robitussin DM will help the dog breathe better and control any cough or sneezing or runny nose. Read here about cautions and dose info
Hope this helps you!
