This is sort of a Murphy's law of dogs, if you want the dog to be pregnant and could only get one breeding she may not be pregnant be as your timing for the breeding was off, however if this was an accidental breeding that you did not want, its extremely likely she will be pregnant and deliver a litter.
As dogs can only breed when they are ready to ovulate or have ovulated, if the male has healthy sperm, then its very likely the female will get pregnant even with just one breeding.
