I don't think you can count on any dog being able to do this just based on its breed. Much like not all cats are good mousers.
I think you want to find a pup from a working rodent dog background.
Very likely you want a terrier breed with a high prey drive on the individual pup.
You might want to check through local dog rescues for a dog already obsessed with mole hunting. Many times homeowners dump a dog like that because they want perfect lawns not giant craters.
Even a Border Collie can be obsessed like that
The Dutch Stabyhoun is reputed to be a good mole catching dog
But the smaller terriers such as a Westie, Cairn, ***** *****, Border Terrier, Feist, Australian Terrier etc might be good possibilities if you find one with a high prey drive.
My Standard Poodle is very good at wiping out rodents from squirrels to mice and brings in a mole once in a while. So its not always the breed its the hunting drive that matters.
