Our dog lost a toenail and her toe is infected and swollen. ANy home remedies? She's a boxer and very old.

This could be either a bacterial or fungal infection.
For bacteria you can try soaking the foot in warm Epsom Salt Solution twice a day. Clean the area off with betadine iodine solution and then apply neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment to the sore toe area.
If that does not work you can try the same thing and use a miconazole cream on the toe area to see if that works.
The warm Epsom Salts solution can help draw out infection and should feel good once she gets over the surprise of the heat.
