Hi Jeremiah,
Usually the puppy vaccines are given in a series. Most veterinarians have their own preference as to when they start them which is approximately 8 weeks. Then they are given every three weeks until they are four months of age or 16 weeks when they recieve their rabies vaccination. When you take your puppy in for it's first exam and vaccines it would be wise to bring in a fresh stool sample so your veterinarian can run a check for intestinal parasites. About 90% of the time they test positive for round worms. They get these from their mother. Your vet will also do 2 to 3 dewormings so get rid of the worms. Good luck to you and your new puppy.
