My boyfriends female cat bolted out the door three nights

Customer Question

My boyfriends female cat bolted out the door three nights ago. He is her Hooman and she calms him when his PTSD acts up. We put the litterbox outside and food. Since then we have seen her multiple times in the yard and near neighbors garage. We got as close as a foot to her and she bolted. What do you recommend? She comes out in the evening near or right at dark. We have an appointment to have her spayed but she ran out. How can we catch her? Will she come in on her own? Please help

Hi Anna,

I am sorry your BF's cat ran out. Cats are crepusular which means they are most active dawn and dusk.If your BF could go out at one of those times and walk around calling her name she may come to him.

Open a window or the garage door just enough for her to enter. Leave food, water and her litter box just inside.

If she does not come in on her own any rescue will lend you a hav a heart trap.

Bait it with food and leave it in spots where she has been seen.

Please let me know what happens.

Best wishes and prayers for her safe recovery,
