Have Cat Questions? Ask a Cat Vet Online.
Hello, JACustomer. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years and would be happy to help you today. I'm reviewing your question right now.
1) What diagnostics have been performed to determine the cause of her being so small? 2) Have you applied any medication or has she ingested any medication recently? 3) Is she indoors only? 4) How are her stools?5) What was the temp, heart rate and respiration rate?
Did they perform any diagnostics at that time? Fecal exam? Bloodwork? X-rays?
I cannot say they're wrong, though diagnostics truly need to be performed. Particularly now that she's having even more symptoms. We can certainly associate some of these symptoms with FIP, for sure, but other concerns could range from cardiac issues, toxin ingestion, toxoplasmosis, intestinal parasites, seizures, etc. Due to the severity of her condition, I would highly recommend going to the ER tonight. However, if you cannot visit an ER overnight, I would find a different vet to examine her, run some diagnostics and treat her come morning.
