Customer Question

My 11 year old cat has been throwing up mostly liquid with some food and hair balls for over a week. She seems to be eating fine but every morning I find the throw up. She is not acting weird in any way.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: No, just her regular diet of dry food with wet food twice a day.
JA: OK. The veterinarian will know what to do. What is the cat's name?
Customer: Lucy
JA: Is there anything else important you think the veterinarian should know about Lucy?
Customer: She is only an indoor cat. Can't think of anything else.

Hello, JACustomer. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years and would be happy to help you today. I'm reviewing your question right now.

1) Is Lucy routinely brushed?
2) Are you using any hairball remedy?
3) What food are you feeding?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I try to brush regularly, no hairball remedy given as she doesn't like them. Friskies dry food and fancy feast wet. No change in diet for long gone time.

Can you tell me what hairball remedies have been tried and in what flavors?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Thanks but I think I have decided to visit my vet.

No problem. Good luck!
