Customer Question

My adult female cat had a litter of three a few months ago and she isn't fixed yet but she keeps growling, hissing, and swiping at her kittens. This has gone on for a few weeks I didn't know if she is pregnant again or just raising them to be independent from her.

Dear Todd,

This is actually normal behavior for a mother cat. She knows 3 month old kittens no longer need to nurse. She wants to save any milk for upcoming newborns.Louderback may be pregnant again or in heat.

Most cats do no even recognize older kittens as their children. They think they are just other cats.

Once she is spayed she will stop this behavior. In the meantime just ignore it.

Kind regards

Hi Todd,

I'm just following up on our conversation about Louderback. How is everything going?
