My cat threw up a 3-4 inch piece of spider plant 2 days ago

Customer Question

My cat threw up a 3-4 inch piece of spider plant 2 days ago and has been throwing up since that time. Every time he eats, within minutes he throws up.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did your cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: Just the spider plant that I know of
JA: What is the cat's name?
Customer: scamper
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about scamper?
Customer: When he throws up, he acts like something may be caught in his throat. He fights it and re swallows it.

While spider plants are not toxic, swallowing anything not normal may result in vomiting.

It is possible that there are fibers from the plant in the stomach and they are not moving into the small intestine. Very much like a hair ball.

Were the pieces vomited whole or well chewed?
