Customer Question

My cat is older, got her from a shelter. Since a month or two ago, she has making sounds in her throat, like gulping her saliva a lot, something like a hiccup felt on her body every so often. She is not eating as much, and appears to be losing weight. I feel a small hard lump on the middle of her throat. I would love to take her to a vet but she is very timid and scared of everything. She doesn't appear to have trouble breathing.

Hi Nancy,

It sounds like your kitty has a sore throat. Give her 2 drops of honey every 4 hours to sooth and heal.

Pick up all dry foods and any canned with pieces,,shreds or chunks.

Feed only smooth pate canned food till her throat is healed up.
