My cat has been vomiting days ...initially it was undigested

Customer Question

my cat has been vomiting for 5 days ...initially it was undigested food now its more liquid yellow with some undigested food. He seems to be panting afterwards as if in pain. His rear end is red and swollen and he is very sensitive (some fecal is there - but he will not allow me to remove from the area--looks like there is a scratch). He scoots on rug after every poop
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did your cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: he eats orijen dry food, and fancy feast tuna appetizers and fancy feast treats. He also loves to tear up cardboard boxes; toilet paper anything of paper, and he likes to chew on the plastic string on cat tree
JA: What is the cat's name?
Customer: Woodford
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Woodford?
Customer: he's 7 and very active
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Veterinarian about your situation and then connect you two.

Thanks so much for your very helpful reply.

Give him one quarter of a ten mg pepcid a/c (famotidine). I usually add it to a tablespoon of baby food chicken with no onion or garlic Or canned cat food.Every 12 hours.

Remove all dry food and any wet with chunks, pieces or shreds.

Feed only smooth pate canned food or baby food.

If he gets dehydrated give him tuna water drained from the can.

If he is constipated he can have one to two ounces of whole milk. It is a natural laxative that should bring on a BM within two hours

You can apply raw honey to any sore or irritated areas. It is a remarkable healing agent:

Please let me know how he is doing .
