Customer Question

We have an indoor adult male shorthair cat with almost pure white fur; there's a hint of yellow to it when the light is right. He has had a BRIGHT yellow patch of fur on his back and down the top of his tail that has developed over the last couple of days. It seems to be on the ends of the hair, not all the way to the skin. There is no discoloration of the skin that we can see. It looks exactly like he's rolled in something (at least twice) but we have searched the entire house in vain. He is healthy and active. Of course a vet would be needed to determine this for sure, but is there any reasonable possibility of something organic? He is heterochromatic, if that makes any difference.

Hello Leonard,
I am sorry you are worried.
Does the patch look like it could be washed off or is it an integral part of his fur?
How large is the patch?
Does he have blue eyes or one blue eye?
