My cats stomach muscles are hard. I have taken her to the vet. She is ok but he did not know why this happens.

HI this is Dr J and I would be happy to help you with this. There are two reasons this can happen. Either one she is just tensing when she is touched as some cats will do or she has abdominal pain. There are no other reasons except that if she has pain then it could indicate something more serious. If she has no other symptoms at all then she is likely fine. But if she has any symptoms referable to her GI tract then she would need advanced diagnostic imaging such as radiographs or ultrasound. I hope this helps you.
