I treated my 5 yr old cat with fipronil product ca 24 hours

I treated my 5 yr old cat with fipronil product ca 24 hours ago...she seems to have some sort of nerve or neurological damage...shaking of extremities, difficulty grabbing food, scared of sudden movements...I a, taking her to the vet tomorrow, but wondering if affects will subside. I treat my other 5 pets with the same, no issue.
Last year beagle had similar reaction to hartz product, which I discontinued. I am inclined to stop use of all topical product and go back to weekly " dipping" ...which we did years ago without any reaction besides dry skin...any ideas?

I am sorry Miss kitty is so ill.

Use dawn dish soap to thoroughly remove any residue of the product. If it was made by Hartz or for dogs, she may be in serious trouble.

She should be seen by her vet as soon as they open.

some cats are quite allergic to flea products.

I sprinkle diatomaceous earth in corners of my home as it kills all
insects and is quite safe.

Get it at a garden shop or online:

I am in Florida where fleas/bugs/worms are active 24/7/365 and it works
like a charm for me.

I hope your babies and you get relief very fast.

Please let me know how she is doing.

Best wishes for Miss Kitty.

I took kitty to vet a couple of days ago. He had no answers and suggested i do anout $600 worth of tests. I took my cat home and after 7 days of initial symptoms she is now fine, i guess we got lucky?

Hi Judith

I am so glad she is OK! That s GREAT news!

Have the neurological symptoms disappeared?
