A cat should not be younger than 1 year old to have healthy babies. Kittens that are not spayed can go into heat and become pregnant as early as 4 months of age, but this is not healthy for the mother nor the kittens. Young kittens that become pregnant, have more problems with the pregnancy, delivery, don't know how to take care of the babies, and their own health can be in danger, due to the pregnancy/delivery.

It would be wise to have your kitten spayed at the age of 5 months; this will be healthier for her.
