Hi there,

How old is he?

Indoor?

How long has he had diarrhea?

What and when did he eat last?

Thanks,

Terri

he is a year old. Hewas outside until I tried to treat him. he has had it for about three months. I am feeding him purina kitten chow. have tried canned food to try to get him to eat diar-eze but he won't eat it with the diar-eze in it. he had a sibling with the same problem but I think he died.

Dear friend,

I am so sorry about the sibling.

Take him off dry food.. PLEASE READ:

He may have coccidia or giardia:

coccidia http://www.marvistavet.com/html/coccidia.html

Giardia http://marvistavet.com/html/giardia.html

If so he should be treated with metronidazole (flagyl)

Try a few days of baby food chicken (no onion powder) with a tablespoon of infant rice cereal added to the jar. You can also add it to canned food as well.

He can also get the childrens lowest dose of Immodium a/d.

Please let me know how things are going. I hope he is better very soon.

Sincerest best wishes,

Terri
