can cats eat cinnamon

Hello, and thanks for your question.

Cinnamon oil and cinnamon bark are toxic to cats, so I would not give them cinnamon to eat. They must be interested in the smell, but cats are often interested in 'different' smells they're not used to. Make sure if you bake any cookies, or other items using cinnamon as a topping, the cats can't get to them.

I'm very glad you asked before the fact!
