Is Ichthammol poisonous to cats in small quanities, such as what it might like off of its paw, if being traeted with this drawing salve?

It seems that Ichthammol is acceptable as an anteseptic used in small quanties. The only concern I would have is does contain a small percentage of Zinc Oxide which can be toxic if taken internally in large quantities. Ichthammol is widely known as a veterinary ointment for soothing abrassions or injuries. One of the active ingredients is Chloroxylenol is a disinfectant of low toxicity as well as Coal Tar. If used sparingly this should not cause any problems. Joan
