can i use Bacitracin zinc on a open wound on my cats

You can use a triple Antibiotic ointment like Neosporin , Polymycin, or Bacitrican, but you cannot use Zinc orZinc Oxide becuse of its toxictity to animals. Try cleaning with some Betadine first then use a triple Antibiotic ointment on the affected area for a cut or an abrassion. If the area is very deep you may have to have your Vet address the area, since cats are prone to abscesses. Joan
