Yes, you can put Neosporin on a cat's wound, but it would depend where the wound was and what type of wound it was. If it is a deep puncture wound, your cat needs to see the vet immediately for evaluation.

If it's a sore or a 'surface' wound, you can clean it with a cotton ball soaked in diluted hydrogen peroxide, (don't let any drip in his eyes or mouth, if that's where it's near), pat dry, then apply a thin film of the Neosporin ointment or cream (NOT with pain plus).

Bring your cat to the vet ASAP, to have the wound looked at, and diagnosed. He may need antibiotics to prevent infection or to treat infection if it's already infected.
