can i give my cat azo standard for urinary tract pain

my cat has had urinary issues in the past and they have given him antibiotics, i have had the same problem in the past and i have azo standard in the house and i was wondering if i can give a partial pill to him to help with pain or if there is anything i can do over the counter for him?

NO that product is for humans and NOT approved for cats.

The only thing you can do at home for a UTI, is give your cat a few drops of unsweetened cranberry juice. That will lower the PH of his urine and make his bladder inhospitable to UTI bacteria.

Sometimes it can help to immerse his bottom in warm water for a few minutes.

However, if he is blocked and cannot pass urine, that is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY!!! HIS BLADDER CAN BURST!HE MUST BE CATHETERIZED TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!
