It is possible for pets to pass round and hookworm to humans, but if you keep your cat's litter box clean and wash your hands thoroughly after maintaing the box or picking up feces out of the yard, it would be difficult for them to get it. Eggs have to be in the environment for about 2 weeks before they will become infectious. Hook worm enters the body through the skin, so washing after working with body waste is imperative. Keep your own pets dewormed every 6 months or so and worms from them are no concern.
