How old is the cat?

Is he new to the household?

Does he eat, drink, use the litterbox and play, as usual?

Reply to Jessesmom's Post: Sonny is a little over a year old and he is new to our family...he eats, sleeps, plays, goes to the bathroom like any other cat...he is very playful sometimes too playful...he still sis at that biting stage but he does this low groaning meow not the motoring sound when they are content more like a moaning meow.

Hi again, and thanks for your additional information.

This may just be Sonny's way of expressing himself, or he may have a little congestion which needs to be checked out by the vet.

All cats express themselves differently, and this particular sound may be normal for Sonny, especially because he's in a new environment. If he hasn't been evaluated by a vet since you adopted him, I would suggest a vet visit ASAP and make sure to mention this moaning-meow sound. Something may be bothering him, causing him to make this sound.
