How long does it take before rigor mortis sets in in cats

I am trying to establsh how long my cat had been dead for before I found him.

Rigor mortis isn't an exact finding on its own as it sets in at varying times depending on the size of the animal and the external temperatures.
In a cooler environment it can begin with in minutes.
But more typically it would begin in about an hour or so as the body cooled.
