what would cause my cats gums to turn black

Resolved Question:

My cat is meowing like something is bothering him, i looked in his mouth and his gums are black on one side and and there seems to be a hole in his gums, he also was drowling, what could cause this?

This could be a serious infection of the gums, an oral cancer, a yeast type infection, stomatitis etc.
