It has been a week and a half since my cat was declawed and
It has been a week and a half since my cat was declawed and neutered. He had been super loving and snuggley. this past Saturday he was sedated, received a pain shot that lasts 3 days and had received 6 stitches in a toe that was coming apart because my lil baby was biting his toe. He had to wear a cone for a day that he couldn't even eat, I had to take it off and watch him eat a play and rub him for a while. Everything has healed nicely on the outside. He hides in his cage a lot and is a little spooky. He does come out a bit and runs back in. He will snuggle me at night. Is he using his crate as a security blanket? Does he have PTSD after the cone? He did wear a smaller cone for a week but could eat and do everything including get to that paw. Is it a side effect of anesthesia? Is he just a bit sore? Please help me figure out how to help him and if he will be not so scary again. My little girl cat had this done as well and she is fine. … read more

My oldest male cat had a seizure this evening. This site was the first place I could think of to go after the seizure had passed. Dr. Lucy was fantastic and she was spot on!

DebbieUSA

I must tell you I found this site by accident and was amazed when I asked a question of the Veteranians online. I wish I could have found it sooner it could have made such a difference in the outcome of my pet's surgery. However, I am passing along the information to my sister-in-law (a cat-rescue person who is also a nurse), and perhaps it will help someone else who may experience the same problem. The doctor who answered my question was amazing, and while it didn't come it time to change the outcome of my situation, it is reassuring to know the caliber of Vets/Doctors that you have at JustAnswer. Thank you for being there.
